Children learn by doing.

Perhaps the best method to learn geography, and about life in other places, is to travel there.  If you can't physically go somewhere, learning through an exchange of postcards with children in other parts of the country and the world is possibly the next best thing.  In an effort to expose my students to as many places as possible, we are participating in several postcard exchanges.  We have sent out cards with information about our class, school, and community to about 700 different places.  We are learning about different states and countries, communities, and the varied differences among classes from different schools.  We are also learning about the things that we have in common.  This page will showcase the cards and information we have received in return.  For more information, or to join our exchange, please visit http://imagiverse.org/activities/postcard/ .

Click on the state or country name below to see the cards we have received from that state or country.
